The trek begins as you head to Namche Bazaar across the Dudh Koshi river bank. Namche is a popular stop in the Everest region and is home to numerous restaurants, hotels, and modern luxuries. Then, you trek along the Imja River and continue to Tengboche. Here, you can visit the Tengboche Monastery which is one of the biggest in the entire region. Walking with the company of Ama Dablam (6856m), you will trek east towards Dingboche. Likewise, the trail heads north from here and reaches Thukla village. The trail gets more rugged and ascends to Lobuche.
Further, you continue along the Khumbu Glacier and reach Lobuche. On the next day, you cross the Lobuche Pass and reach Gorak Shep. From here, the final trek across the arid trail with views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), and Ama Dablam (6856m). Next, you explore the Everest Base Camp and prepare for a hike to Kala Patthar. From here, you can relish the sights of Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), and Ama Dablam (6856m) among others. Then, you will begin to retrace your steps and pass numerous Sherpa villages. Best Time for the Short Everest Base Camp Trek:
The best time for the Everest base camp trek is from February to May (Spring) and September to November (Autumn). However, if you want to be alone and away from the crowds, this may not be the best time for you to do the trek. Short Everest Base Camp Trek Difficulty:

Everest Base Camp Trek Altitude
The starting spot of the trek Lukla is at 2820m and the Everest Base Camp is at an altitude of 5365 meters. The highest point of the trek is 5555 meters at Kalapatthar. On average, you will ascend 400-800 meters per day on your Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek. There are chances of Altitude Sickness in Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek as the trek is fast-paced. Inform the company about your health and fitness conditions before you go for this trek.
Note: Due to the Air Trafic at Tribhuvan International Airport, all flights to and from Lukla will now be operated from Ramechhap Airport, which is a 4-hour drive from Kathmandu. The transportation to and from Ramechhap will be provided by the company. Thus, it’s good to keep a few extra days after a trek in case of flight delay or cancellation.
