Itinerary

Day 1 On arrival at Kathmandu airport 1,340 m meet our staff and transfer to the hotel.
Landing at Kathmandu and Nepal international airport, where our guide or staff receives you for the short drive to your respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu. After checking into your nice rooms to rest after a jet lag, and then rendezvous with another group member of Annapurna Circuit Trekking, where our guide/leader will brief you with
information regarding the treks, and hotels and lodges with Nepalese culture, do’s and don’ts. Evening enjoys a grand welcome dinner in typical Nepalese restaurants with various native cultures as entertainment.

Day 2 At Kathmandu with options for a tour with time for trek preparations.
At Kathmandu, a free day where one can join in our interesting sightseeing tour options, as the capital Kathmandu of Nepal is steeped with historical and religious monuments of world heritage sites. Afternoon at leisure and preparation for Annapurna Circuit trekking, starting next early morning with to Nepal Mid-West.

Day 3 Drive to Jagat 1,440 m via Syange 980 m and Besi Sahar 860 m – 07 hrs.
Before embarking on the trek, you will indulge in a relaxing tour of Kathmandu city and explore some of its extravagant tourist destinations. The tour begins with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa, located on the top of the hill overlooking the city.
The next stop will be the historical Kathmandu Durbar Square followed by a visit to the sacred place for Hindus, Pashupatinath Temple. Pashupatinath is the largest known Hindu temple throughout Nepal. You will witness hundreds of pilgrims and locals flocking the area.
The tour ends with a brief visit to Boudhanath Stupa located a few kilometres away from Pashupatinath. You will get to see the locals indulging in the circumambulation of the revered stupa.
After touring the city, you will head back to your hotel. You will set your bag packs ready for the trek.

Day 4 Trek from Jagat to Dharapani 1,920 m via Tal-Besi 1,745 m – 06 hrs.
From Jagat, our treks begin heading through farm areas above the river to reach Chamje where you can notice the chame of village people, vegetation and culture entering into more Buddhism country. After Chamje crossing over Marysangdi river to reach in the cool shade of nice lovely woodland of pines and rhododendron tree lines heading above the river to reach a nice valley at Tal -Besi, where temperatures get much cooler from here onward. With refreshing stop heading towards the end of the valley and crossing over bridges with ups and downhill to reach nice Dharapani village, located above the river in between route to Manang and Manaslu area.

Day 5 Trek from Dharapani to Chame 2,670 m – 05 hours.
Today, you’ll leave Dharapani and head towards Chame village. You’ll cross a forest of pine and fir trees and head towards Bagarchhap and Danaque village. Along the way, you’ll encounter numerous Buddhist Chortens and prayer flags that are hanging over the walls. You will catch the beautiful sights of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna.
Along the route, you will mostly find indigenous Magar and Gurung settlements. You’ll continue trekking through Tamang and reach Chame village. Chame village serves as the headquarters of the Manang district. You will find many quality lodges in this village to spend the night.

Day 6 Trek from Chame to Pisang 3, 230 m – 05 hrs
From Chame, the trail heads upwards into the high-altitude region of Pisang. You’ll begin trekking through oak and pine forests, heading towards Bratang Village.
After crossing a few streams, you’ll begin climbing a forested path. You can catch the beautiful views of Pisang and Chulu peaks along the path. Finally, a short descent will bring you to Pisang village.

Day 7 Trek from Pisang to Manang Village 3,450 m – 05 hrs.
After this nice village of Pisang, a morning walk leads to a climb for short while into a wooded area to reach the top of a ridge facing wonderful views of Manang valley enclosed with Annapurna and Chulu peaks, as the walk leads downhill to Hongdae / Home a village with a small airstrip. From this village walking into tree lines with amazing views of peaks and then vegetation and tree lines fade as walk leads to the nice village at Braga with an old monastery on top. With time to explore its ancient monastery of great interest with fabulous views of Annapurna towards the south and Chulus with Pisang in the north, from here an hour walk reaches to our destination at main Manang village for an overnight stop and rest day.

Day 8 Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.
At Manang necessary rest day to support acclimatization before heading towards high Thorang-La pass, at Manang for better acclimatization where one walks across Manang village down to Marysangdi River, then climb up to the view-point facing close to Ice-Falls and glaciers of Gangapurna and Annapurna II-III with a small turquoise lake of Manang. Rest of the afternoon relax and explore this interesting village adorned with age-old Buddhist religion and fascinating culture and customs.

Day 9 Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka 4,110 m – 04 hours.
From Manang onward heading towards the windswept high valley and barren hills and getting closer to snow-capped peaks as walk leads past Manang village and towards Ghunsa small village, then in the open wide country with views of Gangapurna-Tilicho peaks with Chulu West. The walk finally ends on reaching a small Yak grazing pastureland known as Yak-Kharka for an overnight and lunch stop in one of its best available lodges with views of high peaks.

Day 10 Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m – 04 hrs.
After a pleasant stop and overnight, the morning walk leads at the end of the valley rim to reach the bottom of Thorang-La Pass, where the walk leads on gradual ups with a few short descend to a river with a brief steep climb and then on a good trail to reach at Phedi with few good lodges. A break here on this high altitude, then a short steep climb on a stone scree path leads you to the top of the ridge where Thorang High Camp is situated with about 2-3 lodges for an overnight stop in this high country enclosed within giant peaks of Chulu and Damodar Himal.

Day 11 Cross over Thorang-La 5,416 m and descend to Muktinath 3,800 m – 06 hrs.
The trek will begin early today as you need to cross the Thorang-La pass and reach the Mustang district. You cross the pass before noon because crossing the pass during noon will be difficult with harsh weather conditions at the top.
The challenging part of the trek begins at the High Camp. You’ll begin traversing through the snowline and head to the top. Thorong La Pass at 5416 meters offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. A few of the high mountains inside Tibet will also be visible from the top. After a brief stop, you’ll begin descending to the other side and continue trekking down the rocky terrain towards the Muktinath temple. Muktinath temple lies in the Mustang district which resembles the typical landscape of neighbouring Tibet.

Day 12 Drive from Muktinath to Tatopani 1,110m via Jomsom 2, 715 m and Marpha 2, 670 – 05 hrs.
In the morning, you’ll visit the Muktinath temple and observe pilgrims taking shower under the 108 stone taps. It is believed that taking a shower here cleanses your sins. You will explore the surrounding Buddhist site and visit the Guru Padmasambhava statue before heading downhill towards Jomsom. A short drive along the Mustang landscape will take you towards Kali Gandaki valley. You can admire the surroundings as you drive past Kagbeni towards Jomsom. After a brief stop, you’ll continue driving towards the Thakali village of Marpha As drive head downhill into a forested area with unique and glorious views of Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri peaks with its ice falls where the drive leads into world’s deepest gorge around Kaligandaki River valley, enclosed between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna to form the deepest gorge. Slowly entering into low warm paddy areas on reaching at nice Tatopani village for overnight and end of driving for few days till Pokhara is reached, in this village enjoy a refreshing dip in hot-spring pools, where name Tatopani means in Nepalese.

Day 13 Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani 2,856 m – 06 hrs.
The walk continues with a morning on leaving this nice warm village with a steep climb on a stone paved steps to reach large Ghara village, an interesting farm village of mixed tribes with Magar and Hindu Brahmin and Chettries, from here on slow winding gradual walks into cool serene woodland to reach Sikha and Chitre villages of Magar hill tribe. After Chitre steep climb for a few hours to Ghorepani, a scenic village with blue painted houses serving as the lodge and guest house, situated within green rhododendron forest and on the Old Trans Himalayan Salt Trade Route of Nepal and Tibet that leads to Jomsom and beyond. Ghorepani is located in the midst of a tall rhododendron forest with grand views of the Dhaulagiri range with Annapurna and Nilgiri’s peaks.

Day 14 Morning hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m and walk to Tikhedhunga 1,440 m -05 hrs.
Early morning hike on top Poon Hill offers stunning sunrise views over 360° wide panorama of worlds three highest mountain range with Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu at once glance with majestic Machhapuchare Himal known as Fish-Tail the virgin and unclimbed peaks within Himalaya range. After enjoying spectacular panorama downhill to Ghorepani and ready for a long downhill morning walk with serene rhododendron woodland past Bhanthati and Ulleri village to reach our overnight destination at Tirkhedhunga with beautiful waterfalls.

Trek from Tikhedhunga to Nayapul 1,100m and drive to Pokhara 860 m – 4 hrs walk with 2 hrs ride.

Day 16 Fly or drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel with a free afternoon.
Morning from Pokhara an exciting overland journey back to Kathmandu on route observe Nepalese country life as drive leads past farm villages and towns and to reach Kathmandu around afternoon time, rest of the day free for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

Day 17 International departure for homeward bound.
After a wonderful time in Nepal with an amazing time in the high mountains enjoying walks on Annapurna Circuit Trek, with last day in the Himalayan country enjoying an adventure on high Himalaya, where our staff and guide transfer you to the airport for your flight back home or to next port of call.
