Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Pokhara (885m) meet our staff and transfer to hotel.
You can land at Pokhara or Kathmandu where our guide or staff receives you for the short drive to your hotels in the hub of Pokhara. If you are in Kathmandu, we’ll arrange a 30 min flight to Pokhara.
After short rest, we’ll brief you regarding the trek and Nepalese culture. In the evening, you’ll be greeted with a welcome dinner in typical Nepalese style with native cultural performances.

Day 2 Drive to Bhirethati or Nayapul and start the walk to Tirkhedhunga (1,440m). - 5/6 hrs
After the stop at Pokhara with ever-present views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhare peaks ‘Fish Tail’, the journey starts with a dive to Birethati or Nayapul.
Trekking to Tirkhedhunga starts with grand views of Annapurna as you walk through villages and follow the Modi River. It’s known as one of the most charming villages in the Annapurna area. You can enjoy the beautiful waterfall near your lodge.

Day 3 Trek to Ghorepani (2,856m) via Ulleri village. - 5/6 hrs
Trek starts in the morning with a steep climb on stone paved steps to reach Ulleri village. From here, gradual walks take you into cool serene woodland to reach Ghorepani, a scenic village situated within green rhododendron forest and on Old Trans Himalayan Salt Trade Route.

Day 4 Morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) for sunrise over mountain and walk to Sauta village (2,235 m). - 4/5 hrs.
One of the highlights of the adventure, Poon Hill is best visited in for the sunrise. So, we’ll be leaving the lodge early morning at the crack of dawn for an hour’s climb to reach Poon Hill. The views of mountains including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Machhapuchare and Kopra ridge can be seen from Poon Hill.
After a stunning panorama of mountains, we’ll descend back to lodge at Ghorepani for breakfast, and then continue to walk downhill in the cool shade of rhododendron forest to reach Chitre, a nice Poon-Magar village.
From here our route diverges to Kopra Ridge for grand views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna peaks. The walk leads to a short descent over a stream and then climbs up to farm terraces to reach Sauta, a Magar village.

Day 5 Trek to Kopra Ridge (3,855m) via Chistibung (3,140m). - 5/6 hrs
Walks then lead past Sauta village on the pleasant path into the alpine forest. You’ll then climb for a few hours to reach the remote Chistibung, a small settlement of cattle herders.
Then, you’ll head towards Kopra Ridge for close views of the Dhaulagiri range and Vara-Shikar (Annapurna Fang) with Annapurna South at
close distance. -
Day 6 Rest day at Kopra with options for a hike to holy Khair Lake. - 5/6 hrs both ways
You’ll have a free morning if you are not hiking to Khair Lake. It’s a glacial pond considered sacred by the villagers. A festival is celebrated once a year in the month of August on full moon day.

Day 7 Trek to Dobato (3,419m). - 5/6 hrs
The return journey leads on an alternative route after the descent back to Chistibung. Then the trail leads to many cattle herders’ settlements and grazing fields before reaching Dobato for an overnight stop.

Day 8 Trek to Ghandruk (1,930m) via Tadapani (2,635m). - 6/7 hrs
The trek then leads you to join the main trekkers on a downhill walk to reach Tadapani. You’ll reach a Gurung village, Ghandruk. It’s one of the largest villages and a doorway to many treks in the Annapurna region. You can also visit Gurung Museum in Ghandruk.

Day 9 Trek to Bhirethati (1,100m) or Nayapul and drive to Pokhara. - 4/5 hrs
Enjoying the morning views, our last day walk of the Annapurna Khopra Danda Trek leads on a nice downhill trail to reach Birethati. A drive back to scenic beautiful Pokhara by its calm Phewa Lake ends the trek. You can either choose to stay in Pokhara or head back to Kathmandu.

- Purified drinking water while on a trek and Down jackets, the sleeping bag must be returned to the company after completion of your trek.
- Company’s duffel bag and a company’s t-shirt as a souvenir, trekking route map and First Aid Kit box (carried by your trek guide)
- The arrangement of helicopter rescue service (trekker’s travel insurance must cover this expense)
- All applicable federal and route local taxes.
- Adventure certificate (after completion of the trek)
- Final departure to the airport.
