Itinerary

Day 1 On arrival at Kathmandu airport 1,340 m meet our staff and transfer to hotel.
Landing at Kathmandu and Nepal international airport, where our guide or staff receives you for the short drive to your respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu. After checking into your nice rooms with rest after a jet lag, and then rendezvous with another group member of Langtang Himal Panorama Trekking, where our guide/leader will brief you with information regarding the treks, hotels and lodges with Nepalese culture, do’s and don’ts. Evening enjoys a grand welcome dinner in typical Nepalese restaurants with various native cultures as entertainment.

Day 2 At Kathmandu with options for tour with time for trek preparations.
Kathmandu is a free day where one can join in our interesting sightseeing tour options, as the capital Kathmandu of Nepal is steeped with historical and religious monuments of world heritage sites. Afternoon at leisure and preparation for Langtang Himal Panorama trekking, starting next early morning towards North of Kathmandu into Central Himalaya region.

Day 3 Drive to Syabrubesi 1,465 m - 06 hrs.
Morning early morning start after a hearty breakfast, then getting ready for a long and interesting overland journey on Nepal’s North-West highway to reach the warmer country around Nuwakot at Trisuli Bazaar, and then continue to drive to the cooler region at Dhunche 2,900 m headquarter town of Rasuwa district, where Langtang National Park starts. Drive continue following the farm village downhill till Syabrubesi village is reached to end the driving journey of the day at this nice farm village for the first overnight stop of the adventure.

Day 4 Trek to Lama Hotel 2, 340 m - 06 hrs.
From Syabrubesi treks begins heading high past farm areas above a river to reach within thick forest area of tall rhododendron-oaks-pines and magnolia trees with some bamboo stalks, where Red Panda and other wildlife are often seen around. On reaching a place near Bamboo, where walk leads to a more winding path to reach a forest clearing at Lama Hotel with few good lodges for an overnight stop.

Day 5 Trek to Langtang village 3,290 m - 06 hrs.
Morning walk leads into nice alpine woodland within river gorge to reach a small place at Ghodetabela with few houses serving as the lodge, with time here for a possible lunch stop then start walking into deep woodland to reach our day destination at Langtang village encountering some Buddhist religious monuments of prayer walls and spinning bells. Populated by Tamang tribes where you can catch views of Langtang Lirung above the village, the area around Langtang was badly shaken and damaged from avalanches caused by April 25 and May 15 the huge 2015 earthquakes, this and other villages slowly getting back to normal life.

Day 6 Trek to Kyanjin around Langtang valley 3,780 m - 04 hours.
From Langtang village, where morning leads to a short day walk to reach Kyanjin within scenic Langtang valley, with a short climb to reach a hilltop and then on a gradual path then entering into a wide open valley of Langtang and at Kyanjin village with many good lodges for an overnight stay. This will be the highest overnight stop of the adventure with a tremendous panorama of mountains that surround this lovely Langtang valley where Kyanjin is located at the height of 3,780 m high.

Day 7 Rest day at Kyanjin for excursion and short hike.
A beautiful place for a rest day where one can take a short excursion and hike to one of the scenic hilltops of Tsego-Ri or Kyanjin Ri rewards you with an outstanding panorama of Ganesh Himal (7,405 m) Langtang Lirung (7,234 m) Ghengu Liru (Langtang II 6,571m), Kim shut (6,745 m) and Shalbachum(6,918m) towards south Chimsedang with arrays of peaks includes Naya- Kanga (5,846m) and Gangchempo, Tilman’s beautiful Fluted Peak, Jugal Himal and ending to eastern horizon at Dorje Lakpa (6,980m).

Day 8 Trek to Lama Hotel - 06 hrs.
With pleasant and lovely days in a beautiful Langtang valley at Kyanjin, where morning walks leads back on the same route, with ample to view places of interest that you might have missed on the way up to Kyanjin. A nice walk heading back into farm villages of Langtang and Ghoretabla and entering into dense rhododendron and bamboo forest to reach Lama Hotel for overnight stops in the midst of wonderful green surroundings, located in a river gorge of upper Trisuli or Langtang Khola.

Day 9 Trek to Syabrubesi - 05 hrs.
The last walk of this wonderful journey leading to much downhill within forested areas and past several spread-out farm villages and terraces, as walk leads on a winding path heading with a short descent to a bridge over Bhote-Kosi River or Upper Trisuli River, then on pleasant trails to reach at Syabrubesi village for a final overnight within Langtang Himal region.

Day 10 Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel with free afternoon.
Morning from Syabrubesi where the exciting overland journey takes you back to Kathmandu on route observe Nepalese country life as drive leads past farm villages and towns to reach Kathmandu around afternoon time, rest of the day free for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

Day 11 International departure for homeward bound.
After a wonderful time in Nepal with an amazing time in high mountains enjoying walks on Langtang Himal Panorama Trekking, with last day in the Himalayan country enjoying an adventure on high Himalaya, where our staff and guide transfers you to the airport for your flight back home or to next port of call.

On Langtang Himal Panorama Trekking can we bring family with children?
Yes of course! This trek for all age groups can join in this lovely walks, it will be an exciting holiday as well for adults, where walk leads to ups and down with high country at Langtang valley to reach Kyanjin the highest spot of the journey. On these treks less chance of catching altitude sickness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), where walks lead to a slow gain in elevation, while you get acclimatized before reaching Kyanjin at the height of 3,780 m high.

When do I book for Langtang Himal Panorama Trekking?
Depending upon your time and duration for the trek you can book this trip at least 2-3 weeks Before trip departure dates for the trek, with advance payment as per the norms and rules of the company. Make sure that you have checked your medical and physical fitness before signing for the trip and as well purchasing medical and travel insurance which is very important for this kind of adventurous trek in Nepal Himalaya.

How many people will be in the group?
From the minimum 3-4 person in the group with a maximum of 10-15 persons in the group, in some cases we do allow booking for a single person as well, running independently at extra cost than in groups.

What will be weather like on the trek?
The season-wise, where best time is from March to May when most of the day is clear with minimum temperatures of 0° to 20° Celsius depending upon the altitude and areas. Where most of the morning till mid-days clears for views and walks, sometimes afternoon can get overcast with chances of light rains and snow. April to May will be lively with wildflowers in full bloom especially various species of rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) from trees to short bushes.

How are the lodge and Tea-House on Treks?
Tea-House is the word used in the early days when there were smaller numbers of lodges on route trekking, at present each village has more than 10 to 20 good lodges with pleasant room accommodations, serving excellent food menus as per the season wise. Some villages above 2,500 m and 3,000 m do have a nice lodge, but due to freezing cold temperatures at night and morning time where they have toilets on the outside, with some inside as common bathrooms and restrooms. All rooms and dining with warm heating and cosy facilities make your stay much more pleasant and enjoyable.

Are there electricity and network for cell-phones?
Most of the places do have electricity on route trekking run by hydro-power after main villages, where much of electric supply are private and individual of the lodge owners with sun / solar power to activate electric just for the lodge and as well for customers to charge their computers and cell-phones. Some places do have networks for cell phones and as well for internet like Wi-Fi above Langtang village and around Kyanjin, some areas due to high peaks and hills, the networks are disturbed in deep areas like around river gorge areas. At present nearly all people in Nepal including remote villages do have an assist to cell phones with fine network connections only in bad weather the line can be broken, otherwise it is fine and in working order.

What happens if some is sick and have to break the trek?
In this situation where our guides are well equipped with knowledge for emergency and medical purposes, depending upon the seriousness of the victims if it is much critical where nearest medical attention is needed, we call for immediate evacuation for Helicopter services to reach the victims to the nearest medical station and hospital.

What to expect on this journey?
Scenic views of the world’s highest mountains with Langtang-Ganesh and Jugal Himal range includes interesting culture on route treks, where walk leads you around Buddhist country interwoven with old traditional life and custom similar to Tibetans. The walk leads to visiting Tamang villages and encountering many farm fields and terraces of interesting traditional life of the local villagers.

Who are Tamang people?
The Tamang tribes are high hills people of Nepal spread around Himalaya throughout the country, where most concentrated within Langtang and Ganesh Himal area of Buddhist religion and origin, these hill tribes are famous as craftsmen as well merrymaking with dance and music, and Tamang is mostly farmers and cattle herders as the traditional profession.

Is it really spectacular in flowering times of March to May?
Absolutely the best months of the year and seasons for botany students, flower and nature lovers, where hills and valleys alive with wildflowers in full bloom with riots of different colours, rhododendron from tall trees too short bushes will be in flowering times, rhododendron national flower of Nepal also.
